ESAP - Elderly Simplified Application Project
The South Carolina Elderly Simplified Application Project (ESAP) is
designed to reinvent the Food Stamp Program process for elderly households
who have traditionally proven to be our most stable population, on fixed
income, with few reportable changes in household composition or
deductions. ESAP is handled by an Agency centralized eligibility unit at
the DSS State Office who process all applications, continuing eligibility
and maintenance functions for this caseload. The household does not have
to complete an interview.
